Warranty & Repair Terms
Product Warranty
All products sold by us are covered by the warranty terms offered by the brand. Please refer to the warranty card or warranty booklet for the detailed warranty terms and the warranty period offered by the respective brand.
The warranty does not cover bracelets, straps, crystals, batteries, wear to the case nor does it apply if there is evidence of misuse or abuse, including defects related to servicing not carried out by authorized dealers. Products damaged by wear and tear are not classed as a manufacturing defect.
If a manufacturing defect is found within 14 days from the date of sales memo, please directly contact City Chain for follow up. Customer must directly contact the product brand authorized agent for warranty & after sales service after 14 days from the date of sales memo and the customer is required to present valid warranty card together with the official City Chain sales memo to the product brand authorized agent for verification when warranty service is required. Product Warranty terms are subject to the respective brand. Before sending for services, suggest to call the brand hotline to inquire.
Repair Terms & Conditions
- Customers must present the original valid warranty cards to us upon request of product warranty service. Products without valid sale invoices or warranty cards are only considered as non-warranty products.
- The product warranty services of some brands are handled by their brand suppliers. Customers are needed to directly contact with that supplier for warranty service. We do not provide any entrusted services for customers to arrange these warranty service.
- We shall test and evaluate the product that requested for warranty or repair, and has the right to decide whether to accept or reject the request based on the repair feasibility. The scope of warranty and repair services is limited to product functions, not including appearance.
- The warranty shall not apply and the repair charges shall be separately quoted for the reasons including, but are not limited to marked cosmetic defective items, improper care, lack of spare parts, normal wear and tear or normal ageing of the product.
- To ensure the product quality, we reserve the right to refuse warranty and repair requests for any unauthorised modifications, alterations or repairs made in any way to any part of the product by unauthorised person.
- All changed parts are non-returnable.
- When customer send the watch to us for specific repair items, unless the customer objects verbally or in writing in advance, we would disassemble the case of the watch if it deems it appropriate to test the overall condition and function before quoting the comprehensive repair quotation for the watch to ensure its overall operation and water resistant function.
- Customers shall be informed the expected date of retrieving the repairs after accepted the repair service. Generally, the warranty and repair services shall take around 30 to 180 days for repairment, however, it may need longer times for any reasons, including, but are not limited to, difficulty, procurement of necessary spare parts and the transportation time.
- For products with hidden faults, if the user requests to return the product after inspection and repair quotation, we may not be able to restore the original fault condition including appearance, function and initial degree of fault.
- After customers confirmed the repair and quotation and request not to take any further steps for providing services, we shall be entitled to charge customers for reasonable fees for services completed before receiving the cancellation requests.
- When the battery on a quartz watch is changed, we recommend to take water resistance test. If the customer does not wish to have his watch undergo such test, the new battery will be replaced but no warranty shall be granted for the watch.
- We are not responsible for any scratches or damages whether or not such scratches or damages existed before we received the products or as result during the course of transportation and/or services unless proven to us by the customer which was caused by our negligence.
- The product would be returned only on presentation of the original repair service receipt upon notification. If the repair service receipt cannot be presented for any reasons, including but not limited to loss, stolen and damaged, no claim will be made for the product.
- Customers must retrieve the products within three months from the first day notification to customers of collecting the goods, otherwise, customers shall be charged HK$10 per day as storage fee for the product. If customers do not collect the product within three months, the customer will be deemed to have given up on collecting the goods and defaulted on paying the service fee. We reserve the right to dispose of the products to compensate for the relevant losses without making any notification or compensation.
- To avoid contact failure due to any circumstances and reasons, customers are responsible for not receiving further contact and follow-up sixty days after sending the product to us for repair and warranty. Please take the initiative to contact us to check the progress, we are not responsible for delays caused by failure to contact customers.
- Terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. In case of any dispute, we reserves the right to make the final decision.
